Opossums in Michigan are generally bycatch for us. We’ve been doing possum removal for people for a number of years, but generally, it’s when we’re trying to catch something else. The only situation we do with them on an actual basis where someone has a possum issue is if they have chicken coops that are trying to raid them and kill young and kill eggs.

Otherwise, possums are just low-hanging fruit animals. They go for the low-hanging fruit. They’re omnivores. They’ll be garbage carcasses. A lot of different things.
