24/7 EMERGENCY
Born and raised in Battle Creek Michigan, Dave grew up immersed in the outdoor lifestyle and attained the rank of Eagle Scout before graduating from Lakeview Highschool. Dave then attended College at Kellogg Community College, then Central Michigan University where he pursued degrees in education and biology.
After graduating with a master’s degree in biology and K-12 education, Dave was hired as a Math and Biology teacher at WK Kellogg Junior High School in Battle Creek Michigan. A few years later with the fur boom coming to a halt, Dave founded Bowers Wildlife Control and worked out of his truck as a part time job trapping nuisance wildlife to earn extra money for his family after school and during summer vacations.
In 2011, Dave’s youngest son Paul expanded the company to offer insect extermination services as a side business to his career as a Deputy Sheriff for Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department in Michigan and Bowers Wildlife and Insect was born.
In 2016 Paul resigned from his position at the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department where he served as Immigration and Custom Enforcements liaison and Executive Union Board member to the Corrections division to dedicate more time to expanding the family business.
In 2021 Paul assumed the role of director of day to day operations at Bowers Wildlife and Insect Control and the Company continues to grow with the same founding vision. Friendly, Educated, no-nonsense approaches to solving human and insect/wildlife conflict issues with minimal environmental impact all while committing and expanding to serve as many customers as possible.
